Volumes of prisms and pyramids
How can we employ the objects of the exhibition Simmetria, giochi di specchi - Symmetry, playing with mirrors to find out the relation between the volumes of a prism and a pyramid with the same base and the same height? Both pieces can be used to visualize a cube between the mirrors: for the first one a mirror is enough (and we see a cube divided in two equal prisms); for the second one we need two mirrors at 60° (and we see a cube divided in six equal pieces).
