A chessboard
Tablut, a game of strategy, originated in the North of Scandinavia, played by nomadic Lappish people, whose best known livelihood was reindeer herding.
The chessboard has a dihedral symmetry of type D4, that is preserved also by the initial disposition of the pieces.
