Rosettes, friezes and mosaics
A house in via Caccianino, in Milan: under the balcony we see a rosette with cyclic symmetry of type C6, two dihedral rosettes of type D8 and some friezes of type ∞*; on the balcony there are various rosettes with dihedral symmetry of type D8; the wall is decorated with a pattern of type 2222 (if we imagine that the marks inside the rhombi are perfect, all alike, S).
