Images for mathematics

Paths

The rationale behind building this archive is to provide the public with a collection of images. The aim is not purely scientific, but it is also for didactic and informative purposes. In fact, images can be used to 'tell stories' about mathematics.

These pages provide some examples of mathematical "paths" that have been built using the images.

Some of the paths were conceived so that anyone can use them. Other paths, for example the ones on topology or on 4D are accessible to anyone in terms of the language and tools involved, but may require a higher level of abstraction and imagination. In any case, all the paths have been built so as to stimulate you into building your own personal paths using the images from the archive.
