Frozen reflections
The freezing mirror lake of Maloja-Sils: at the centre the peninsula of Chaste' and, in the background, from the right, Munt Arlas, Piz Rosatsch e Mezdi.
Mirror freezing lakes are pretty rare, this phenomenon requires three conditions that should happen simultaneously: a temperature of less than -10°C for a long time, no snowfalls, no wind. The phenomenon happens with a periodicity of 10 years.
