Uniform polyhedra
All the polyhedra in the photo are uniform: this means that around every vertex there are the same polygons (in the same order) and that if you take any couple of vertices in a polyhedron, you can always move the first one in the position of the second one. This feature allows us to identify a uniform polyhedron with some numbers.
In the back row we see a (4,6,8) and a "football" on it (a (5,6,6)); then a (3,4,5,4) and a (3,3,3,3,5). In the second row there are a (4,6,6), a (3,4,4,4) and a (3,5,3,5). In the first row, a (3,8,8), a (3,6,6), a (3,4,3,4) and a (3,3,3,3,4).
