Frozen reflections
The freezing mirror lake of Silvaplana, photographed in a day of good weather conditions. On the background we see Maloja with Piz Longhin, that is a triple watershed between Black Sea/Danube, North Sea/Rhine e Adriatic Sea/Po.
Mirror freezing lakes are pretty rare, this phenomenon requires three conditions that should happen simultaneously: a temperature of less than -10°C for a long time, no snowfalls, no wind. The phenomenon happens with a periodicity of 10 years.
